Trapping Volunteers assist with the safe and humane trapping of community cats for veterinary care. Duties may include helping prepare trapping locations, setting and monitoring humane traps, covering and moving occupied traps, and assisting with the return of cats after recovery. Trapping may take place outdoors in varying weather conditions and may involve uneven terrain, lifting and carrying traps, and frightened or unpredictable cats. Instructions and role-specific training will be provided.

Transportation Volunteers safely move community cats in covered, secured humane traps between trapping locations, veterinary clinics, recovery spaces and return locations. Assignments may be time-sensitive and may involve lifting and carrying occupied traps. Instructions will be provided for each assignment.

Recovery Care Volunteers assist at a PDCT-approved recovery location where community cats can safely recover after surgery. Cats generally remain inside their covered humane traps and must be monitored according to PDCT’s recovery instructions. Duties may include checking cats at scheduled intervals, recording observations, maintaining a clean and quiet recovery area and promptly reporting any concerns.

Colony Care Volunteers help support established community cat colonies by providing food and fresh water, maintaining feeding areas and observing the cats for changes or concerns. Volunteers must follow the colony care plan for each location and respect the property where the colony is located.

Fundraising & Community Outreach Volunteers help raise awareness and funds for Project Snip & Tip. Duties may include assisting at community events, preparing materials, speaking with members of the public, selling raffle or fundraising tickets, collecting donations and helping with event setup or cleanup.

General and Occasional Volunteers help Project Snip & Tip with a variety of support tasks as needs arise. This is a good option for volunteers who would like to help but cannot commit to a regular schedule or are unsure which specific role is the best fit. PDCT will provide details before asking you to accept an assignment.

Not Sure Which Role Is Right for You? That is completely okay. Project Snip & Tip has a variety of volunteer roles, and no previous TNR experience is required. We can explain the available opportunities, answer your questions and help identify tasks that suit your interests, availability and comfort level.

Such information relates to submitted proposals, criteria or decisions made-with regards to the business of Persian Dreams & Canine Themes Rescue Society.
Since confidential and proprietary information is crucial to the operation of PDCT and Project Snip & Tip, and because PDCT in some instances has the obligation to protect such information, I agree that I will not use, publish or disclose such information during or subsequent to my volunteering or participation on the Board of Directors, and that I preserve the restricted nature of this information except to the extent that it becomes publicly available, or is otherwise lawfully obtained outside the scope of this agreement from third parties.
Additionally, as a volunteer, I realize that I have an obligation to disclose and eliminate (if necessary) any potential or actual duality of interest or conflict of interest.
